Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES): Building Self-Healing Faith Communities
An Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) can be a profound indicator of how people cope and deal with adversity as they age. Studies have shown that the leading causes of disease, disability, learning, lack of productivity and early death have their roots in the cumulative impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Spirituality is a core protective factor in healing and building resilience in God’s people. Churches can play a VITAL role in helping people heal and thrive. Join us to learn how communities of faith can have an impact.
