Jean Hammink

Jean Hammink is a grandmother, meditator, educator, consultant, and social change activist. Since retiring her activism has focused on climate justice and indigenous justice. After participating in multiple indigenous led protests for treaty rights and the end of fossil fuels, she became inspired by the work of Joanna Macy, which provides a framework for deep spiritual reflection to guide actions. Jean is now a facilitator of Macy’s Active Hope / Work That Reconnects work. Before her retirement Jean helped leaders develop leadership skills from the inside out, following 40 years of working in nonprofit, corporate, and government sector leadership positions.
