Michael Peterson, OSB

Michael Peterson, OSB, has been a Benedictine Catholic monk since 1996. He resides at Saint John’s Abbey in Minnesota, a monastic home to approximately 95 monks ranging in age from 25 to 102. Benedictine monks are committed to communal living, daily prayer, and the stability and stewardship of the land. Michael serves as the Director of Oblates, an extended community of Protestants and Catholics who model their lives on monastic values. As the President of Monastic Interreligious Dialogue, he leads bridge-building gatherings between Buddhist, Hindu, and Christian monastics. Additionally, Michael is a passionate swimmer.
