The film tells the true story of how religious doctrine led to the destruction and dehumanization of the many First Nation peoples of Great Turtle Island (now North, Central, and South America). It is a story of history, spirituality, and resistance told from an Indigenous perspective.

Filmmaker and director Sheldon Wolfchild (Dakota) and Co-Producer Steven Newcomb (Shawnee, Lenape) collaborated to bring this story to the screen and Wolfchild will be on hand following the showing to answer questions.

Antiracism Literacy Partners is offering the documentary as one of its resources this month for those who wish to engage in deeper conversation about this topic.
