About the Event:
Join us for a thought-provoking exhibition, "Un-Muted: The Silent Voices of Social Genocide in Turkey," organized by Niagara Foundation Minnesota and Advocates of Silenced Turkey. This event is a poignant exploration of the social genocide experienced by the oppressed in Turkey, shedding light on the struggles of diverse communities, including members of the Hizmet movement, Kurds, Alevis, women, children, journalists, politicians, and activists with varying identities and views.
Purpose of the Exhibition:
The Social Genocide Exhibition is a powerful initiative to remember and give a voice to the human tragedies that occurred after July 15, 2016. It seeks to raise awareness of human rights violations, learn from historical inhumanity, and honor the memories of those affected.
Exhibition Journey:
Having started in New Jersey, this exhibition has already reached thousands in different locations across the United States. It is an ongoing effort to bring the stories of the social genocide to wider audiences.
